What is Sound Healing?
Healing with sound is believed to date back to ancient Greece, when music was recognized for its therapeutic value and used in an attempt to cure mental disorders. They would use musical vibration to aid in digestion, treat mental disturbances, and induce sleep.
Throughout history, music has been used to boost morale in military troops, help people work faster and more productively, and more recently, research has linked music to a number of health benefits from reducing anxiety, depression, and stress levels, and may improve sleep concerns.
Sound Healing is a practice that uses vibrations in the form of Gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, and Tuning forks to relax the emotional and physical well-being. As mentioned above it is believed that sound healing can help relieve anxiety, and sleeping difficulties (insomnia). In our office we utilize the Crystal Quartz Singing Bowls and Binaural Beats for Sound Healing Treatments.
